Detroit Lions in playoffs? Don’t laugh it off quite yet

Given the state of the NFC and the rest of the Lions’ schedule, there’s still a small ray of hope for this season.

A few weeks ago, the notion that you mention playoffs in the same breath as the Lions was a joke. However, recently the NFC has become sort of mediocre with only two teams, the Carolina Panthers and the Arizona Cardinals close to clinching division titles. The Lions’ remaining schedule has only one team with a winning record, that being the Green Bay Packers. If the Lions run the table, and that’s a big “if”, they could finish 9-7. That’s a big shift considering they started the season 1-7!

Triple doubles from Denzel Valentine might be something that Spartans fans may see a lot of this year. He is truly leading this team in the same manner that former Spartan Draymond Green did his senior year. The victory over Boston College gave coach Izzo his 500th win as the Spartan head coach; an impressive milestone to say the least.
