It was out there for the Spartans to take it and they did in fine fashion. They completed the first of their goals set for this season in winning the Big Ten East division to advance to the Big Ten Championship game in Indianapolis next Saturday where they will meet the unbeaten Iowa Hawkeyes.

The second goal was to win the Big Ten Championship to reach the third goal of advancing to claim one of the four slots in the College Football Playoffs to play for the National Championship.

The Spartans continued the momentum from the victory last Saturday over Ohio State by completely dominating Penn State, 55-16 at Spartan Staduim on Senior Day. It was a fitting farewell to 24 seniors who played their final game in East Lansing.
